18m interactive advertising projections screen installed in Birmingham Airport.
Projection Advertising has completed the installation of an 18m interactive projection screen in the arrivals terminal of Birmingham International Airport for McCann Ericksson.
The screen consists of 10 ultra-short throw projectors seamlessly blended together to create a shadowless front projection screen of even brightness. The system boasts a much higher resolution than LED screens at a fraction of the cost and weight of an LCD installation. An infra red motion detection sensor triggers an 18m animation as arrivals approach the screen. The animation then unfurls at walking pace along the walkway, accompanied by a soundtrack, capturing the viewers’ attention.
The animation, commissioned by Advantage West Midlands, is designed to promote the region’s cultural and industrial heritage and features household names like Jaguar Land Rover, Alton Towers and Cadbury’s.
