The New York Times imagines the kitchen table of the future

A recent article by Megan Garber of the Nieman Journalism Lab shows how The New York Times Company R & D Lab imagines a kitchen table of the future using Surface by which you can read the news while having breakfast in a natural way.
According to the article, they “betting breakfast will be less about sharing out newsprint and more about swiping through stories, ambient commerce, and the quantified self.”
